I have a problem with my FX. When I air up the gun it starts to leak from the barrel but once I fire a couple of shots the leaking stops. Is that normal?

Yes, normal, it sounds like your cupseal is going bad. They are in the parts kit or can be ordered separately directly from DP themselves.

This is normal in a poppit, maybe not this soon but if you have alot of paint through it, normal.

Mine is leaking from the Velocity adjustment screw. I can air it up and turn the screw a little and it seals up. Advice?

Ok update. It takes around 10-20 shots to stop the leaks. Would that still be normal?

Sounds like you need to replace the bottom o-ring on the velocity adjustment screw piece. It is a 18.77mm ID X 1.78mm CS (a standard -018).

Nope. Maybe 1 or 2 at most and that is on an off day. They should air up without a leak. Have you zeroed out the reg, applied air, then increase the HPR while pulling the trigger to see if it is maybe just not enough air pressure for the o-rings to seal? If that doesn't do it, it very well may be that the valve pin is not sealing correctly. I don't have an FX so I can't say for sure what part exactly it is though.

Have you relubed the ram? Something slick like the TechT gun sav works nice. I used monkey poo and its a bit thicker than gun sav, and my gun leaked until I fired or pushed the bolt.

I have tried all of the things you guys said and it is still leaking. Maybe my cupseal is going bad. It seems the more I use this gun the longer it takes to seal up. Im really on the end of my rope with this gun. Where can I get a cupseal?

I would call DP but they never pick up their phone nor answer emails. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Honestly, the only way to fix a bad cupseal is to replace the cupseal. As far as I know, the only place you can get a FX cupseal is from DP themselves. I never had a problem getting through to them on the phone. Make sure you are calling them during their business hours:

Make sure the cup seal in the volumizer is COMPLETELY dry. If you've lubed the black part of the cup seal that connects to the spring then wipe it off, and only lube the end half of the metal pull sticking out from it lightly. If problem persists then you probably need a new cup seal.
