Hipe Frame, WTF

I have a question pertaining to the Hipe trigger frame for some of you Ion gurus out there. I just snagged one in the BST's for a used Redz Ion that I also got from the BST's. When I tried to install it, the front air fitting wouldn't seat flush, and when I put the board in, the trigger sat completely against the microswitch and wouldn't move at all. I have a Punisher's trigger installed. Are these problems common, and is there anyway to make this work? I love the feel of the frame and want to make this happen.

Check the hole and threads of the front banjo to see if there are any shavings or debris in there. As for the trigger, did you adjust the pre-travel screw?

What about the activation point adjustment on the trigger? Also, I'm not familiar with the Punisher's trigger, but maybe there is a pre-travel screw on the trigger itself. Oh, and did you try putting the board in the frame separately from the body? Maybe that'll help you pinpoint the problem.

I think the problem may be the geometry of the trigger itself. It seems as though there it takes up too much space. Here is what it looks like:

As the picture shows, the trigger has the microswitch fully compressed without any pressure applied to it.

Yikes. I'd say get a new trigger, one with an adjustable switch activation screw instead of the badonkadonk trigger backing. Or, grind down the back of that Punishers trigger.

As for the front air fitting, you mean the front banjo fitting that sits just above the reg? If the hole is clear of debri, you may need to invest in a smaller fitting.

Yeah, I mean the fitting above the reg. I'm going to look into snagging a new trigger. I talked to the guy I bought it from, and he was graciously willing to send me smaller fittings, thank the lord.

Yeah, he's pretty damn legit, one of the most legit people I've dealt with on here. I just want this thing to workout because this frame is so comfortable and sexy. When I get the fittings I'll update to see if it works out, then I'll try to settle the trigger fiasco

Good news, Custom Products trigger on the way to try out in the frame and still waiting on the new fittings. Hopefully this bad boy is up and running soon

CP trigger is a success! Now I just need to send my virtue board in for repairs on the battery wires. Anyone know where I can get my frame milled to accept membrane pads?
