Custom Belsales Evo X Build

Hey everyone, its Dan at ArmoryPaintball.com and i've been dying to change up a belsales pump i've had for a while. While the body was original anno and beautiful, I'm a perfectionist and as you can see it didn't have all the stock parts.

Originally this:

Then decided i'd add this pump kit instead: http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/m...-pump-kit.html

Its a TJD pump kit, prototype run that's still going on (to my knowledge) over on MCB. Really high quality machining, very light. Also from my tests so far its very durable, guide rods are of stainless steel construction (hence not anodized to match).

Pump kit installed on a marker (TJD's pics, not mine). It is REALLY lightweight

After being sent out to FX Anodizing to get an anno job done in company colors (absolutely beautiful anno job, great guy to work with): http://www.fxanodizing.com/

Added a DW carbon fiber 16" freak tip, like one of these to continue the carbon look:

And last step before assembly, getting some custom real carbon fiber grips done by PbMetal Mods. Here is the template:

Some up close shots of the body. Cannot wait to start the final assembly.

Cannot wait to get the frame and new grips back and put it all together! Hopefully by the end of this month

With a carbon fiber barrel tip, pump kit and grips I think it will tie in nicely with the stainless steel accents that naturally come with an Evo X. Thoughts!?

Thanks everyone,

Dan at ArmoryPaintball.com

You make me cry. Why destroy that evo this way? Oh the travesty!

oh god the humanity. First of all I don't know why an Evo would every be converted to pump. Belsales is renowned for their mirror-like polishing on all internals and perfect matching of all hardware. To strip hardware off is just a slap in the face to it's original creators.

I think both of you misunderstand this build. I never put the pump kit on it, it came to me like you saw in the first picture when I bought it. All I've done is switch aftermarket parts that were already aftermarket and recolor it. It is still undrilled

It will have full belsales upper and lower internals.

Lol. I didn't misunderstand, but I don't really care for the anno and if it was mine I'd order some belsales pneumatics and go back to semi. I do love that body though.

I understood too. Sorry but the Belsales cocker is one of those very few elite cockers (like the revenge cockers) that you just DON'T change too drastically. It was too perfect to butcher. My buddy had one in red dust and he was even smart enough to sell it before getting a spanky body to transform it into a tiny tornado. This was back in like 99 or 2000.

Never said it wasn't an elite cocker. It most definitely is and I love this gun so much, hence the effort into the project. When I re-anno'd the body I even had the mind to spare the freak tip as it was original and sent in a different freak tip. Only thing I've done is re-anno the body. To butcher would be to drill, and that I did not do.

On the hunt for a completely original belsales so I have both a factory one and a custom one.

I think final pictures of the build when its complete will do justice

I like it. I think the darker ano colors match the CF well.

Can you at least tell us who the original converter was so we can rape and pillage the right household?

Beautiful marker and I like the work... But a Belsales should forever and always be a semi.

Many a stillborn had occured the day that marker was converted to a pump.

Nice work all in all, but I never got why people would want to hide milling like that.

Belsales cockers are not the same when you buy the parts. The true from the factory evos had hand fitted components, just putting belsales pneus on it is not the same and a shame if its done. The value of a semi evo that doesn't have the original components is only there for the ill informed

If he got it as a pump it should stay one because it would be near impossible to find the original set of pneus. Great selection of parts for it

I like the pump and I like the ano but i dont feel it works on the evo can't see the subtle milling with how intense the ano is. The big hump frame add on never did it for me I always wish they made those less drastic more like a timmy frame less like a tonton frame.

Also like the carbon fiber and I an glad the grips are becoming carbon as well.

Sounds like you drank the hype kool aid a little too much. Hand selected adds what exactly? Oh yes, a marketing bullet. I would "hand select" a evo front block for it and make it semi again, lol. Almost every cocker I ever built had a bullet 3-way and a nexus (belsales) ram, those components are consistently perfect. I usually went with a microrock or sonic LPR though.

Is that one of my removable humps? I designed one like that for a guy for like $75. Originally fit to an ion stock frame. In some pictures it looks like its part f the frame so it might just be a similar design.

It is in fact a removable hump! Stays in place only by the mounting of a rail/ASA. I actually got it for free in a large lot last year, it was original dust black
