How is posting here any more quickly than clicking Report on a thread? You don't have to report every individual piece of spam, just report that someone is up to no good in that forum.

I think this is faster than the "report" button. But apparently not.
Because instead of saying thanks, I'm getting a lecture.
Like I said already, it won't happen again.
I have reported threads before that I've found days later still there. So maybe you can understand why I post here. Maybe not.
Whatever the case, it was spam. I thought I would help out and let you know. But apparently I did it wrong.
Thanks for the clarification.

If this way is easier than reporting it, you can keep posting links to threads or users here.
More of the correct mods will see it if you report it, that's why we recommend people do that. Most people don't know that our mods can't moderate in every forum, only the ones assigned to them. When you report a post, it goes to all the mods assigned to that forum. When you post here, most the people who see it can't do anything about it.
Either way, we appreciate the head's up.
