I listened to a pair of Beats on my Galaxy Nexus (I have PowerAmp which has an equalizer, but I use the Google Music Player which also has an equalizer. I use Google Music Player becasue I sync all my music to the cloud and PowerAmp doesn't integrate with Google Music yet. Plus I just like Google Music Player more.) The bass was impressive no doubt, but these give a much cleaner sound. I can hear everything perfectly, nothing is overbearing. With Beats the bass just takes over, not ideal for all types of music.

Truth be told I am a huge fan of bass drops as long as they're not overly used.
