Can someone explain to me what this does or how it works/ changes? I've tried youtube-ing stuff with no avail.

It changes your trigger from spring return to magnet return... Everything is pretty hard to not understand. its just a magnet you screw on.

You know how when you put two magnets together, they push away? Same thing. It's better so you don't have to worry about a spring
