Prefacing this post by saying I dont know anything.
Want to spend my tax money on an AR, namely a Daniel Defense M4v7 (brand new). Anything I need to know? I was planning on ordering straight from Daniel Defenses website, is there going to be a massive wait or anything? From the looks of their website it doesnt look like all the gun craziness has really effected them as far as availability goes. Halp.

Last time i checked background checks where takeing a millenia. Daniel defense makes a good ar. I would definitely call them and check availability.

DD makes great rifles. Every AR maker out there is back ordered like crazy, and the stuff being sold right now is crazy overpriced. If you wait for this nonsense to blow over and for most of those orders to get cancelled you should be able to get one at a decent price.
From what I understand DD only take orders ont hier website that they can fufill that day then cut them off. If you hang around thier website at midnight when that resets you might be able to get an order in. Even then, who know how long you are really going to wait.

It is so ridiculous how long they take for those. I run NICS/TECS checks all the time at work, you just type in the name and press enter. It seriously takes all of ten ****ing seconds to see if you have a hit or not.
