Beginner coming back
I haven't been out on the field since october, and was just wondering what's up in the paintball community. Any new markers or anything big? I know the spyder hammer came out and GoG Enemy. Also I wanted to ask, what is the easiest gun I can get to take care of easily? I have been playing since last June and took things a little too fast and by October was shooting a Mokal Aura. I couldn't take care of anything I had because I had too much. And now I'm starting from the beginning. I want to get a solid beginner electronic gun. I was thinking about the Spyder Fenix, which I have shot and I like. I love Spyders because they are easy to maintain and are light and compact. Do you guys have any other recommendations? I play airball by the way, just so you know. Thanks for all your help!

Minis are cheap, reliable, parts are readily available and customer service is good.

Unless Spyder has really changed over the years, I would try something else. They always gave kids trouble in the past. They look cool and the Mass Market Price looked good but they did not hold up on the field. My info is really old though. Just returning into the game. Maybe they are better now?
I have been researching guns though and many think highly of the Mini if your on a budget. Though this maybe too much for you. I would consider digging deep or saving longer and putting more into your marker.

Spyder's and Azodin's are neat little guns and can hold there own if they need to. Over the past few years, quality has gone up too. However, they are still blowback markers and may not be up to par with what you want in terms of performance.
The Mini is stupid easy to maintain and you can get them dirt cheap sometimes in the B/S/T section. Just make sure it is a V3 Mini.
If you couldn't really maintain a Mokal Aura then I would stay away from spool valves in general. Maintenance on them isn't hard, but they require a bit more of it compared to a poppet valve like the Mini. With that being said, I would stay away from Proto and GoG as they are spool valves. If you feel like you could take care of your new marker, then by all means, get one of these. They are solid performers for the price. But, if you don't feel like you could properly maintain it, the Mini is the way to go.

Ever thought about playing pump? It's a lot of fun and cheaper since you don't shoot as much paint.
