my nephew
my nephew has always been interested in my paintball gun, hes still way to young to take out to any real fields (6 years old) should i just take him in the words and let him have a target practice with cans etc, then when he gets a little older i can get him into woodsball?

Get a splatmaster as its under 180 fps and easier than getting shoot with a air powered gun at 280 fps. Its smaller and a gun costs $20-$80 and is a good trial to see if he's ready. Plus its not shooting, its getting shot that changes his perspective.

was gonna take tommorow after school but of course its gonna snow 6-9 inches, figured if he enjoys it i can have him help around the house for money and what not so he can pay for his own stuff when he gets older

Just as Christian P said, get him a splatmaster. That would make an awesome gift for his birthday. Splatmaster's are meant for younger children to get them into paintball. The most important thing, is to make sure to enforce safety (always wear a mask).

My little brother started playing when he was 6. He is 7 now and has his own setup (98c, Empire barrel, gravity hopper, proflex, 48/3000) and comes with us almost every time we play. The only protection he wears (besides his mask of course) is a GxG vest and sometimes a neck protector.

I have a 6yr old son that also loves my paintball guns. What Im planning on doing is getting him and myself a splatmaster guns and just play with him behind my brothers house with some home made bunkers. Boston Paintball also has Splatmasters that you can take him there to play
