I still want purple! I may have to cave and buy a different color and re-ano.

You guys should defiantly put out more colors. Id like to see a dust red or a black one with red parts, that'd be (.Y.)s

I traded mine for a Star Framed Etek 2 and a DP E1 with ups... In the process of selling the E1 and saving to buy another Proton

I loved the prototype that Will let me borrow for a day, and I love my dust black one that I bought shortly after. The proton will be my go-to gun for a looooong time.

I love my Titanium grey proton. I used a .684 Dye CF barrel and a 68/4500 Ninja tank with a ninja pro high pressure tank on my proton and shot premium rps paint thru the gun, it was shooting in the chrono: 286, 289, 284, 290 (+/- 3 or 4), amazing for a gun at that remarkable price.

That's about 1400 shots off a full 68/4500.
Fantastic results!

I'll be getting one of these in a few weeks, more or less because of the awesome rep in the news thread. By the looks of it, it should be a neat backup and loaner

I'd love to see an upgraded soft tip bolt come out for it even though the stock bolt is great but with a soft tip bolt itll probably be able to handle super brittle tourny paint and I just might make it my main gun if that happened. Still love mine though its an amazing gun at $300 for sure.

When I still had mine I played in 40 degree weather with some nice and brittle GI 5 star without an issue at 15 bps and my Spire, so I highly doubt the soft tip would really help any. Although, modifying the bolt for Bob Long's pillow insert would be a good idea just to prevent the balls rolling back to prevent ball stack clipping should it happen.

I bought a used one last week and shot it for the first time on Saturday. I am thoroughly impressed with the proton. I would love to see some aftermarket stuff for this gun but the only thing I struggle with is the trigger right now.
I have to 2nd the bolt comment by Ares. I've shot some brittle stuff through it with no problems. It wasn't an extensive use with brittle paint, but at least I know it can handle it.
