Hey I'm new to the nation, haven't played paintball in a while. Wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction of where to get a tank hydro tested and rehydroed at a good price not an arm an a leg

if youre located on the westside of the state you can always drop it off at crossfire and have them do it

Yeh man cru is the place to be. Good competition is always gurenteed (on Sunday's) and they have an amazing pro shop with tons of guns gear and everything else pb related and some air soft but who cares about airsoft lol

My kid loves airsoft, always bugging me about wanting this gun or that one. Wanting to play in the yard. I set up a little course for him and his buddies for a summer party. I heard all the time about how airsoft was better. He had only played PB once when he was 6 at Lone Wolf West. I used to take his older brother a few times when he was in JH/HS. That was 6 years ago. I played him one on one on a unused field while the older kids played with the walkons.

Any ways I took him to the Alien Game at LWW this fall with one of his airsoft buddies. He is 12 now. His words ... "Dad paintball is way more FUN than airsoft". They had a blast.

Even when I had my own field I would play other fields. Like I am planning to take a group to TC GR indoor next month.

It is always fun to play a new field.

Thanks everyone said go up to cru but it seems to be 30-40 minute hike, I live in lake Orion. Just looking for something more local I guess

Don't think there is anything closer than CRU for tank hydro for a reasonable price. I think there may be a closer scuba shop that will ship them out, but they normally charge an arm and a leg for those things.

And yes, I see lots of YOUNG kids starting with airsoft and some of them 'graduating' to paintball later on. I think the JT 'Splat' equipment may be a nice stepping stone between the two in the future. Anything that gets more people into the sport!

I checked out lone wolfs store in Clinton Township today, they do the hydro testing but they send it out to have it done. Do they do it at CRU or do they send it out? If I go there can I just wait for it to be done or no?

Not really sure haven't personally had one hydroed.

no paintball store that I kno wof does it on site. Including CRU. they all send the off. it requires some pretty expensive equipment.
Best bet is to call crossfire in Kalamazoo and mail it off to them.

Alright that you for the insight my buddy told me there is a guy in taylor that does them I believe he said Dix and middlebelt, $25 well you wait.

Theres a bunch of companies out there that do hydro testing... its not paintball specific. scuba and fire tanks, some compressor tanks etc. theres spears fire/safety in ann arbor, a place in madison heights, and another in inkster.
With crossfire you know you're getting a company well versed in the tank you have, and know you're getting a good job... there are places out there that will not test it and just slap a sticker on.
