Anything spyder threaded will fit. The only thing I'm worried about is fitment around the pump and shroud area. That might be the limiting factor for certain types of barrels. Lets hope a current hammer 7 user can shine some light on this subject.
But if any barrel can fit I would go with lapco big shot. Keep in mind you're using a stock class marker so accuracy is key. You'll want to have an excellent paint to barrel match so a small barrel kit could come in handy.

Now this is really tempting. I already have a Spyder threaded Freak back.
Although, truth be told, I'd probably pick one up as a dedicated First Strike shooter for scenario play.

Just got my 1st field test this Sunday, heres my review

Any question you may have ask here,Imartin from Kingman has been really helpful with all questions asked
http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/p...mp-spyder.html
There are a few issues with fitting certain barrels on the Hammer 7 as the groove in the pump is for the stock barrel,a few MCB members have modded theirs to fit with some sanding to the pump handle, check out the thread above and others at M Carter brown, this is a hot topic over there and alot of members have done some crazy mods inc. stocks,a speedwheel for on the fly mag to hopper changes, pump handle shortening etc
Im really impressed so far,the most bang for your buck marker thats come out since I started playing in 95

Freak back is too fat to clear the pump handle, but there's such little material on that part of the handle, shaving it won't take much time at all. The handle isn't a solid block of composite, it's mostly hollow.
The breech has dual-detents, so bore-matching isn't necessary to prevent roll-outs. I've shot z-balls through the stock barrel (gxg's version of reballs), pointed the Hammer 7 down and shook it trying to get a roll-out, but that second detent really does its job. And z-balls are tiny.
There's so much info over on mcb now, from the news thread, the multiple reviews, and the mods thread, a cross-post compiling the gems of information could take all night.

I took a dremal and took out a lot of plastic in the pump handle, the freak back fits great now. Also I took some plastic put of the body to the macro line in front of the trigger guard to switch hands easily.

Find a 12" piece of 3/4" PVC, attach some sticky-backed 60 grip paper around the PVC; and rub that pump handle down like you are trying to start a fire.
It didn't take very long. Prolly 10 minutes, checking for fit as I went along.

Just got my hammer 7 in. im going to be using a dremel with a sander bit to make the pump arm area where the barrel sits a little bigger. shouldnt be hard. i tried and ultralite, bob long, and vangard barrel and non of them fit because they are a little too wide where the 2 pieces come together. ive got a hammerhead scenario mofo carbon fiber barrel on the way an im pretty sure that wont fit either without the sanding haha. Ill try to post a picture of it later this weekend when i do it.

It's just the pump handle. It won't mess anything up. Quite a few who have them over on MCB have already done this/chopped them up even more and have had no negative repercussions.
