I am not 100% positive federal law would apply in this situation. It could be state law applies, but then it becomes a question of what law. Either way most states seem to have the one-party consent law so it wouldn't matter.

dont need luck when you know the law.

but you actually have to know the law...
thats not a nationwide law, and depending on the state the 2 parties were in, it could still be unlawful. if he was speaking to someone in say California, then that could very well be taken to court.
anyways..
no one in here is a lawyer, and its pretty silly to see a bunch of tweens discussing federal and state laws with now background in it.

Are you implying that teams attend PSP events just because they want to shoot a specific brand of paint they can buy locally?

I think it just depends on what part of the country your at that effects the paint and not just valken sucks or gi sucks. Like over here in cali every case of gi has been pretty bad and the valken ive been shooting has been great. But I noe its vice versa for ppl in lets say ohio. Both paint manufacturers wouldnt be in business if they didnt have ppl who think their paint is better than others.

This.
Business is dirty, it's always been this way in the boardroom meetings you have never and will never hear about. The PSP is attempting to control the future of paintball coverage by shutting their competition down monetarily, and I think they're doing a damn good job of it.

not extortion but definitely dirty dealing ... the psp wouldn't even be here if not for the cash influx of dye. the nppl is trying to survive for the players while deyoung is trying to spend them out of the game..

neither extortion nor dirty at all, in my opinion its a fair and solid deal. Seems like kee and gi are willing to give up a bit of their current slice in order to make the whole pie bigger, why does no one get this? Just let one league die. All this means is kee is willing to accept valken as a competitor instead of still trying to kill them outright. So many people afraid of change.

LOL who's "deyoung"?
Oh, you think the NPPL doesn't want your money? That it's all "for the players"? That's really cute.

I wish that we could, but sadly, it is not to be. The shrinking pool of money in the sport means that the fight will get nastier as it becomes a fight for survival and not just a #1 vs #2 fight. I hope everyone wins in the end, but I have a feeling that is not the way this is going to play out.

I'd like to shoot this awesome GI paint I keep hearing about, all the 4 star I've shot has been complete trash :/ I always shoot Redemption whenever possible.
But on topic, too much bull**** going on. Both PSP and NPPL need to realize that paintball continues to exist without them, if they muck it up too much, players will simply play else where. So I guess I welcome the bull****, opens the door for someone else to take the reigns for a while.

Or in this case, it would be shut up and just give us a format/venue to play paintball.

Just remember, we the players determine which league to play. I say boycot both leagues.

the pros won't..... and anyone who plays in these leagues basically follows suit, otherwise you're just a divisional team that no one gives a **** about, and you have nothing to aspire to.
If paintball is ever going to go mainstream, and pick up legitimate sponsors OUTSIDE of the paintball industry (Coca-Cola, Bud light, Doritos [nccpl used to have them as a sponsor, dont know about now], Apple) Not the greatest examples, but what is meant is the high profile nature.
I do agree this is stupid and petty, and no I'm not going to suggest a merger, but there NEEDS to be one master league, with one master pro division to make paintball more legitimate for outside onlookers-
Next step is getting back on TV, but the current format sucks ball sacks because it can't be filmed....
Anyone working in production or post (especially LA, that's where I'm at) that plays paintball and wants to come up with a more TV friendly version of the game for tournament play and MAXIMUM LEGITIMACY please pm me
