I have a question guys!
Alright. Some of you guys know I was going to buy a Empire sniper used for $300 but that deal fell threw. So I need a pump gun to buy for around a $300 budget. What would you guys go with? I really like the looks of the WGP Sniper pump-Nightkast-deluxe. Anybody had any experience with that gun?

Can't go wrong with a sniper in general, really. You may find something you don't quite like about it, but the beauty is you'll be able to change virtually anything without too much trouble!

I would check Craigslist. I see some people selling empire sniper snipers for 350 but they could probably go down. and that's in MA where there isn't good prices on paintball things.

just clarification, when people say "sniper", they don't always mean the Empire Pump. Sniper is also what you call any pump-ed autococker as well. I think that Castro might have been talking about any converted cocker, not necessarily an Empire Sniper (but I can't be sure). For this reason alone I don't really like Empire's name choice xP causes too much confusion.

Here's a quick lesson in English: When the first letter is capitalized, "Sniper", it is a proper noun, referring to either the Empire or WGP variety.
When not capitalized, "sniper" it's referring to a broader family of pump guns generally derived from Autocockers.
Pass it along! Let's curtail the confusion!

Empire Snipers are great for new pumpers. It comes with all the bells and whistles including a barrel kit (a must for any pump), half blocked (so you don't knock yourself out while pumping) and Auto trigger (just in case you need to hit the panic button). It is a bit loud for my taste but it's a great value at around $300.
I love cocker snipers cause I can customize it to my liking. This takes a bit of work and research so for someone getting into pump (awesome leap of faith imho) go with the Empire. I do have a feeling that in a few months if you are still pumping, you will be looking into a CCM

Yeah I think I am going to be getting it. I did not know it did not have the barrel kit. How much would a good barrel kit run?

Honestly I don't think thats good enough. Sniper, capitalized or not (many people leave out caps when they post) means the broad family of pump guns descending from the original WGP sniper.
We should encourage people to say Empire sniper when talking about the newest one, IMO. It's been confusing in here sometimes with the new posters.

If you know you like pump and what to get a solid gun then I would say see if you can find a used CCM. I got my S6 off ebay for $400 about a year ago and now wont play with anything else. You can not go wrong with a CCM. Also you can get a really nice Phantom for $200 - $300. They are very customizable and very reliable guns. An Empire Sniper for around $300 would be nice also.
If you are not sure you are going to love playing pump, I would suggest a cocker/sniper. You should be able to pick up one for around $100-$150. Then if you really enjoy it, you can upgrade it and spend what ever you want.
The nice thing is either way you go, unless you spend to much up front, you will be able to sell them and get your money back in 6 months or a year. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

I agree, and have noticed similar issues. I guess I took it as granted that the Empire Sniper should be referred to as such, much like the AKP/KP foolery of 3 years ago.
Until we have a better term, I can only insist that things remain the way they are.
