I have a 14in Raptor Barrel, very nice and when I get the Apex 2 it should be a bit better with that extra curve. (main reason why Im getting it, hate when im at a scenario and theres 100000 ppl behind one large bunker, curve tht ball around it)

The Furious have been amazing quite honestly, many of the players have been making the switch where I play with the zero ball drag and the new tactical barrels look sweet. We've had players gaining some decent efficiency due to dropping their input pressure just from the barrel change.

Played for the first time with the 12" big shot apex this weekend; good-god I was untouchable, literally. I've had the standard apex for almost a year and never got the kind of performance I got with the big shot. I was getting hits on guys on the furthest points of the field and their paint was landing 20-25 feet in front of me. Uphill, downhill it didn't matter, I was getting consistent, accurate grouping and they couldn't reach me.

No. Paintballs are not bullets, riflling does nothing for them.
It is marketed as being better, though, and for that reason costs extra.

paintballs have more variables than even blackpowder guns would. I find that quality paintballs make more difference than anything else, a heavier ball carries better distance due to ballistic coeficent if you have consistent diameter and pressure due to ball distortion going down the barrel. A longer barrel seems to give me a few more feet, an Apex adds unusual spin and sometimes can increase distance. but accuracy? not enough consistency when your pulling the trigger and laying down a wall of paint to cover, it's just fun!!!!
