Hopefully doing a mad dash to go get my car. I am HOPING and CROSSING MY FINGERS I get it tomorrow evening. Then I get to drive back in rush hour traffic. I am saving money for tuning and for the clutch to get done since i'll have said monies then :/

You guys have any suggestions as for first mods for my 07 wrx? It's bone stock right now and I can't decide which route to go lol. Downpipe and a tune or CBE and springs. Or even if there is another option that is better? I'm not really set on anything, just wondering about you guys' input based off experience.

Save for coilovers, they are worth it.

TBE, grimmspeed ebcs, walboro fuel pump, new panel filter, and tune.

Honestly, Cobb Stage 2 is a huge upgrade. Even stage 1 helps to fix the running lean issues Subaru has from factory and the car runs much better.

A shift knob and bushings will help a lot in shifting.

Decent coilovers give it a sportier feel.

Running good fluids in the diffs/tranny/engine will help them all run quieter and more efficient.

Those 4 things right there would make your car feel like a whole different beast.

Coils and swaybar/endlinks first, then CBE, downpipe, intake and tune.

I said Cobb to be specific. There are hundreds of variations of tunes. Every shop has their own. A pro tune will cost more than an AP will and you won't get the extra the AP offers.

It's like, in my car group, I have two guys in SRT4 Neons that are Stage 2, one MOPAR and the other something weird. They both make similar power but they're going different routes.

Either way, I'd rather get a protune with an AP and have them stored for on the fly switching. And the Cobb Stage 1 is a huge improvement over factory tune any day.

I was pretty much set on RCE Blacks for springs in the mean time, as the front wheel gap has been an eye sore since I got the car. I planned on having a separate piggy bank to save for coils.

Looked into the Invidia N1 street CBE because nothing beats the boxer rumble and the stock exhaust isn't cutting it.

Got all synthetic fluids in the car with the 60k service. Shifts are sooo much nicer and the car runs quieter and performs better. I was looking into the Kartboy short throw shifter with the bushings because the stock shifter is still a tad notchy.

Overall I'm still able to have fun with the cars stock power, but I can see myself wanting a little more of a torque-y feel in the near future. Probably when I'll look into a downpipe and tune.

I guess I'll just focus on suspension/handling and sound while I still am enjoying the stock power of the car. Doesn't make sense to add to performance if I'm content (for now ) and there is other stuff I'd rather modify.

get some rims, rubber, and coils to start. They will compliment your power nicely when you get to that point.

then do basic bolt ons. stock turbo, tune.

Austin race my HS friend and win. He has a bolt on, tuned big turbo standard wrx. I am actually surprised it has not blown up. He babies it but says its "Stupid fast" Its a decent car but it really looks ebay'd out. It's on the hoist every day with little things, but he has never beat on it with me in the car.

A tune from Mikey will do just as good and cost MUCH less.
