Got one yesterday from ANS. it's for my sons 10th birthday. Had to shoot about 100 rounds out of it before I put it back in the box. Very impressed. I'm sure if he dosent like it, I'll have a blast with it.

I cut the hose close to the fitting on each end, then use a deep 11mm socket and ratchet to get it off.

Ended up stripping the fitting, has anyone applied heat (propane torch) to the fitting? This is the only other idea I can think of.

You should be able to. Just remove the swivel from the regulator and remove the two o-rings first so you don't damage any seals. It shouldn't take too much heat to break the loctite.

You can use any ASA you want - the grip comes with standard mounting points (nuts retained within the grip, so you're threading into metal, not the plastic of the frame), so you can either bolt on a direct mount or attach a rail to take a rail mount. Only thing to be aware of is that the nuts which hold the ASA in place are mounted fairly deep, so stock bolts for something like a CP Direct mount might not be long enough.

I had an old Dye Airport and rail going spare and fitted that to mine:
