Pm8 vs ego 7
I love my ego 7 right now but I was thinking about getting something different. So I was wondering should I get a pm8 or stick to my ego 7?

PM8... I prefer quiet markers.

Depends upon your preference. What do you like in a marker most?

My ego rocks, it's just awkward to hold and kinda loud. But the detents piss me off the most. I'm not worried about efficiency (all day air). I would like a much smoother shot

I can say that the 2 things that bother you can't be fixed on an 07... I tried a banjo mod, zick, LP poppet, tuning and cure3 & 4 bolts. It seems to be just the way the gun shoots. If you love that crisp poppet feel and like stacked tubes try a vice. Much quieter and smoother than an 07 ego and pretty cheap (probably a straight trade). Another option is a marq, the stock engine seems a little smoother and quieter than an SC'd marq but they are both amazing. The are wicked smooth, but have a more crisp feedback like poppets do. The last few options are all good, but PM8, DM9, Droid, Drone or Quest would be my spool picks. You can go with a NXT shocker but they have a different barrel threading. Of the spools my preference is droid > dm9 > drone > quest > pm8, but they are all great.

As an owner of a PMR and occasional Ego borowerer Id stick with the ego for reliability.PMR detents are THE worst, bolt hangs up on them, the only good solotion are Killa magnetics that are over $40(come with eye covers) and they tend to leak around the 'noid, are a PITA to take apart also, check out the Rail posts here and you'll see. When it works its awesome, when it doesnt your in for a bit of trouble,It also kicks alot harder than my other spoolies(Ions) untill I put a TechT bolt in it.Newer versions with the new noid may not be as bad(Post 2010?)
Cant believe Im recommending a poppet valve over a spoolie, all I own are spoolies but Ive had alot of trouble with my PMR
In general spoolies are quieter,I really dislike the newer guns and there tiny ,thin gripframes,I have manhands dammit!!!

Try Bob Long or pre-RX MacDev guns.

PM8 it is then. Plus just from a support perspective both companies have the same quality of support, but pm8 parts are a lot cheaper.
