What are the best pads I can get?
I am starting into tournament paintball and I need pads! I have about $120 - $140 to spend on pads. What are good ones to get?

i like planet eclipse pads. Well, the arm pads. I use volleyball kneepads - paintball kneepads never fit well. I don't use slider shorts or anything, but i'd imagine you could get any, even non-paintball ones (lots of folks wear baseball slider shorts).

I was thinking more paintball pads rather than volleyball or baseball pads. I will be wanting slider shorts as well.

It really depends on preference. Empire's most recent arm and knee pads are up there as some of the toughest pads you can get and are super adjustable. Planet eclipse, however, also makes excellent padding that almost molds to your arms.
But by far, the most comfortable (for me, at least) are Dye's elbow and knee pads. They are also obviously the most expensive

Would the core or perform knee pads be better? The core pads are cheaper.

I use core, mainly because I got them when they came out and are still going strong. Performance pads are newer, so I would assume that they would have improved.

You're wearing your podpack over your jersey, right? The elastic waistband of the podpack should keep the jersey nice and snug.

Yes I do wear the podpack. But that isn't the part that slides up. The arms slide up whenever I do supermans.
