Tm-15 Help!
Alright so I just picked up a tm-15 with the terrapat paint job and I just love how this gun feels and looks but I feel like its lacking in terms of performance! I want this to more or less be my last gun unless I get a DAM or something Lol
It's pretty much bone stock plus some sexy MagPul add ons. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Problem(s):
1. Ball breaks when firing on semi Only! Conditions:I've been experiencing some chops with it. I use a v3 rotor, with eyes on, fresh battery on both, gun psi is around 190ish and the paint was some type of Valken paint I bought at fulda gap back in November. The bag was sealed and sat in my room up until today/yesterday when I shot it.
2. It's consistency is round abouts +/-15fps! Is this normal? From what I've read and seen from these guns I feel like it should preform a lot better than this.
Help a baller out folks! What are y'all's recommendations/experiences with these issues?

Do you have the stock barrel on it? I think the stick barrel is a .690....which is a big overbore for paint now a days. Do you have a different barrel you can try? Something closer to the paint size?

I don't right now. I wouldn't imagine that'd be issue due to it being a bigger bore but I do need to try that.
How well do the eyes usually operate on these guns?

Take a look at the bolt tip as well for imperfections...that could nick upon the paint too. On all the tm's I have owned and worked on...they eyes sometimes get dirty cause they aren't cleaned enough, but other than that no problems usually at all.

Ahhhh ok I'll check it. Anything else you could think of? How difficult is it to clean the eyes?

Not too difficult...you just have to be able to completely tear down the marker and get to the eye board.

1 - Try fresh paint first. You could rule out the hopper by trying another one or manually feeding and firing slowly to see if you still get breaks. You could check bolt side of the barrel to make sure there's no damage or dings that could be causing it. Check the tip of the bolt as well. You could also think about trying a third party bolt like Boss, to see if lowering the air pressure helps as well.
2 - It's pretty common to see that amount of swing if you're using the stock barrel. As mentioned before, if you want to reduce it you'll need to get a closer ball/barrel match.

I am having the same issues. No accuracy, no consistancy, balls constantly breaking in the barrel. No breaks in the breach. I have tried several barrels including a deadlywinds with freak inserts. I have reset the board as well. I am starting to think that maybe the gun is too hard on the paint (due to the location of the breaks).
I am going to try one of or a combination of the following:
Lower dwell
Lower regulator pressure
Unless anyone else has a suggestion to make this thing easier on the paint.

You should also check to see if the "check valve" is ok. If that is missing then it can sometimes cause these issues. Also make sure to lube your poppet. You can check the diagram of the marker to find the location of both.

If you manually feed in paint and shoot one at a time, do you still get breaks? That would rule out a hopper issue.

Is it actually chopping a ball or is it breaking in the barrel? Id like to know the fix as im interested in one of these.
