Geo 3 Shootdown issue
The problem: If I turn my SFR below half way I get major shoot down, so much so that the paintballs don't fully exit the barrel. The gun starts making a psst sound like it isn't firing air. It will work when I go test it out, but randomly in the middle of practice it will start doing this & won't go back to normal shooting unless I turn the SFR above half way. I normally do all the tech work for my markers & teammates markers, but this problem has really got me stumped.
Attempted fixes already:
1. New battery (I've tried 4, 2 energizer, 2 duracell)
2. Thorough cleaning & regreasing
3. Turning up the Dwell (currently turned up to 27.5)
4. All new orings on the bolt, bolt can and propshaft
5. Cleaning the HPR Filter
6. Cleaning the Solenoid manifold
Setup currently:
Soft tip bolt
dwell 27.5
semi 12.5bps
Temperature at the field is about 60 degrees
I am seriously at a loss with this problem. Again, gun works fine if SFR is above halfway.

Low Power. That was stock, I haven't adjusted it. Should I turn it up?

may have something stuck in the pathway of the SFR. easy to check. Take your frame off and there is an oval oring, make sure its there, then look down that hold and make sure its clear.

Cleared that when I cleaned the manifold. SFR is clear.

Are you using a super low pressure tank? Anyone else having the same issue on the team?

Try turning up the noid power. I know a few players here in Denver that had to turn theirs up because of the cold temps we have been having.
OR
the obvious stuff.
-Battery
-Clean/lube your HPR
-Check your body filter above your HPR
-Try a different tank
update the thread with your findings

Yeah, the whole point of this thread is that I want to keep the SFR all the way down. It should function all the way down. If I turn it up past halfway it works fine. However, if I'm not mistaken, it should still work fine turned all the way down.

My Geo3 is sensitive to cool weather.
Noid on medium & opening up the SFR made it shoot great in cool/cold temps.
When in warm temps I can fully close the SFR w/o issues.
I don't plan on reducing the power on the noid until Summer.
Only drawback is battery life.
Love my Geo3. I don't mind setting the SFR at 2 o'clock to have great shooter.

I know, I love the ergonomics of my Geo3. It shoots great even with the SFR turned all the way up... but it shoots better turned all the way down. if I can get this working turned all the way down in 50-60 degree weather, that would be preferable.

I have also had this problem, and I do believe it has to do with the temperature. When I had the problem however it was uncapped semi so I might have been shooting to fast. After shooting 20 cases through my geo3, I've just went with putting it at 2 o'clock. It works all the way down, I just put it at 2.
