So I'm working on disassembly of these two guns and hit two problems. One is on the mini were the bolt goes is the back of the gun , there is what looks like a steel pin that lines the bolt guide up with the body. Any methods on how to get this out? Second goes for both guns , how do you get the steel studs out of the detent covers? Any help or thoughts on this would be great.

You could try masking both if those.

what do you mean by masking? Last time I anodized something with steel in it , it will just melt the steel right out of the aluminum.

You could try duracoat. Google it.

have you used duracoat and is there a clean way to remove it after the anodizing process.

Liquid electrical tape does a good job. I use a product called maskit.

The studs in the detents are a pain to mask..but the pin can either be removed masked.

It needs lots of heat.

ok Ill have to give that at try... do you know if the liquid tape will last through the the 210 degree degreser bath and the desmut bath or will I have to aply it right before the anodize bath
