Scheduling/Formats?

So I am pretty confused as to what the **** is going on. Looking at Chicago and Vegas NPPL scores and schedules.

Pro divisions has brackets of 4 games. Are they playing each team in a race-to? Then the winner of that whole match wins that "game" on the score sheet?

Then D1 appears to be the same way.
Then D2-D3 seems to have 8prelims games then it goes into best 2 out of 3 into ochos/quarters/semis/finals?

I get D4 5man. But what is the difference in D4 7man and Division 4? They are both 7man right? Why are there two completely different scheduling?

Is there not an option for race-to in D2 and D3? Trying to figure out if I were to do it in D4 if I would either have to the switch to the other version of 7man in D3/D2 or have to go up to D1 for the race-to

And how are the 8 prelim games done? Just randomly chosen to face 8 different teams? Do you face another team more than once in prelims? Like is each game best 2 out of 3 or just one game against a 8 teams in prelims. Then the best 2 out of 3 games starts to happen in quarters, semis, and finals only?

Pro plays race-to 5. They use the same style rules in terms of scoring as the PSP, just that they play with 7 players, semi 15 capped, and no coaching.

D1 is the same, except it is race-to 4.

D2 has the the 7 man bracket and the race-to bracket. Standard 7 man plays 8 prelim games with the standard NPPL point system(50 for a flag hang, 3 for each kill, 1 for each teammate alive, 22, for the pull, total of 100 max), and the teams with the most points move on the Sunday. There race-to is the same as D1.

D3 and D4 work the same as D2 is that they have two different formats teams can play, but their race-to is 5 man while the standard is 7 man.

Ah that clears it up some.
Just one thing, is 7man prelims you just face 8 different teams once with the NPPL point system. Then do 2 out of 3 in the later rounds of the tournament?

Yes. The teams are split into usually 2 or 3 brackets and you play 2-4 games the first day against teams in one bracket and then the remainder of the games to complete 8 total games the next day from teams in the other bracket. We have never had to play a team twice in prelims. The best 2 out 3 is once you are out of finals (Sweet 16, Super 8, final 4 and finals)
