110 come at me. Its only because I eat 4 meals a day though so every meal has high carbs and protein.

I eat 225g of rice, dry weight prior to cooking. Isn't that normal?

I am confused now.

Edit: I think that 225g only comes to about 180g of carbs, the rest is protein and filler.

How do you do that?

I'm having serious issues getting carbs in with IF.

Im eating or cooking pretty much nonstop by the time I get back from campus until I go to bed. Gonna start bringing snacks and smaller things with me to eat between classes because its going to become extremely burdensome if I up calories much more (at 3750 now)

I try and keep water intake fairly low while eating so I dont get incredibly bloated. Seem to be able to cram more down this way

Eating 4 meals a day is awesome, makes sticking to a diet virtually painless. I'll eat my first meal at 8am, and if I'm having a busy day I'll eat my second meal at noon then I don't have to eat again til like 7 if I have something going on. It's just so much easier and enjoyable.

I want to do something like this but I dont have any type of access to a fridge or anything when I'm out. I typically leave at 8:30 and dont get back until 7 or 8 at night. Still going to try and work something out between class and work

Does anyone have some anecdotal evidence of how drinking affected their recovery/gains? I'm just wondering because i've been a decently heavy drinker since I started college back in '08. This counts as at least 5 drinks thursday - saturday on average.

I am now graduated and don't drink nearly as much. Maybe 4 drinks on friday and saturday night except for a wild night once a month or so.

Brother,

quick read:
http://www.leangains.com/2010/07/tru...nd-muscle.html

longer, but still important read:
http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/mus...ng-part-1.html

synopsis:
first, some assumptions. fat/muscle loss (when cutting) and fat/muscle gain (when bulking) is dictated by something called the calorie partitioning ratio. the calorie partitioning ratio is largely dictated by the amount of testosterone in ones body. the more test in the body, the more favorable the p-ratio will be: you lose more fat when cutting (as opposed to muscle), or gain more muscle when bulking (as opposed to fat). drinking to excess, as detailed in the article (10 beers), will lower testosterone by up 23% for up to 16hrs. thus, during times of decreased test in the body, you will either lose more muscle (when cutting) or gain more fat (when bulking) than you would with normal test levels.

however, you need only to be concerned with the long term effect of these things. a day of drinking, as described in the article, wont ruin your gains. long term, you may notice the effects. bottom line: dont get ****ed up regularly like you did when you were living in the house early in your college career.

5 beers a night thurs-sun is fine. enjoying life > being anal about how certain actions will affect how you look naked.

God I couldn't imagine cramming 4000 calories into a 7-hour feeding window... holy christ.
