VForce Grill Dual Pane Lens - Defective?
Has anyone ever seen this before? I just ordered my dual pane lens for my V-Force Grill and this is what I got... theres a whole bunch of smudges that are actually located BETWEEN the two lenses. I have tried to lightly clean them with a soft clean cloth but no luck. Lens is brand spankin new. Just snapped it into my mask.
I emailed VForce / DXS and they wanted me to pay to ship it back to them and they would have a look at it and then send me a replacement. I've already spent almost 30 bucks on it so I dont think I'll be sending it back to them on my dime and then keep my fingers crossed that they'll actually send me a replacement. Just irritated that a lens that costs that much cant look good, and that customer service sucks.
Going to see if the retailer can help me out with a new lens since the manufacturer couldnt...

Was it in a cardboard package with clear windows or in a blister pack?

And so would GI... With KEE you'd have to send it in then get a new one, with him he has to send it then get a new one with GI. Difference? Not really.

That's how spectra/flex lenses are sold - vinyl sheets to protect inner and outer lens, plastic baggie, cardboard stapled to top. Same with lenses for the old Skul mask. I think a Profiler lens came like that, too, back when i had my first Profiler.
I haven't ordered any other lenses lately aside from event/eflex lenses, and that came in a box, which i thought that was weird having only ever purchasing flex lenses for the past few years.

While I'm aware, every Vforce Grill lens I've seen purchased in person over the last couple of years has either been in a blister pack or in a cardboard box, so that's why I said it's weird.

I had that happen with an empire lense. Actually got a replacement without having to send the defected one in. When i emailed, i just attached good pictures showing the fingerprints clearly between the two panes. Hope you get your situation handled.

Regardless of how much profit they're making, if they're selling it, they better ****ing back up their product.

Hey, before you say things like this, it may be beneficial to realize that HE isn't the OP. Future advice for you.

I recently got a dual pane lens for my new Grillz and one thing I (embarrassingly) did not realize is that there is a thin film stuck on the inside lens that you are supposed to peel off before use.
I too thought mine was defective when I noticed apparent scratches and smudges on it as soon as I took it out of the package, tried wiping it down with a microfiber to no avail. Figured I would give it a try anyway and within 2 minutes of play fogged to the point of not being able to see at all. No one at the field I was playing at knew why, and all suggested it must be a faulty lens. When I got back home I popped them out of the mask and was about to send them back when I realized some 'wrinkling/bubbles' around the outside edges of the inner lens...I peeled the film off and it turns out all the scratches and smudges were only on the film and now it won't fog even if I breath directly onto it.
Anyways, don't be a newb like me. I can't tell from the pictures you posted, but check and make sure you removed that inside film so they don't laugh at you when/if you send them back.
