Any cold weather tips? I'd like to attempt to use my ZR1 at the Polar Bears Vs Penguins game on 1/27. Just dry firing it in my garage, I am getting that usual first shot BS that is common among all spoolers in the cold. I upped the LPR 1 tick and that seems to help. I also upped my ABS setting from 10 to 12.

Lowering the LPR back to where I had it, and raising the ABS up to as far as 20 did not alleviate the first shot sticking.

Im wondering if I should just run it with the LPR a bit higher or try a thinner lube than the stuff it comes with?

A better cold weather lube leave the lpr alone if possible. For cold weather I usually use monkey poo on all my spoolies.
Other than a better lube you can up your abs and dwell a bit. Doing so you will have to adjust pressures a slight bit
Over all do what you gotta do to make it shoot right. Do not use fresh new orings this will end bad. Only change one if you have to.

it is just a screw you can get that screw in your parts kit.. so yes call zodiac up and they will probably take care of you .. if it needs the whole lpr cap im sure they can replace that too
the gun will still work it will just make the lpr adjustment a bit wonky

how far is the velocity off on it. it would be playable if you had to use it. is there anyway you can turn that to see if it will straighten out w/o damaging it

i cut it out, it was only shooting at 230 with 235 psi, but now I need a new screw or the whole thing.... does the lpr cap move at all when playing ?

it might move actually.. see if you can get to a hardware store and buy a long grub screw in those threads that is about the best you are gonna do on short notice. if you call zodiac they might be able to send you one.. i know if you had the original kit it comes with a replacement screw

Ok so I just got my gun back from chris cole right before christmas and he installed the new bolt and reset all the pressures and I took it out this weekend and it is now thebiggest blender I have ever owned I installed a new battery tried 4 different types of paint I set my dwell to 8-10-12-14 and it still blended anytime I went over 2 bps. Before I sent it in this gun NEVER chopped and now it sucks. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Yea he put the green bolt in it but he didnt send the old bolt back so I couldnt try swaping out the bolt to see if that was the cause

with the green bolt your operating pressure drops as well.. if you are at 200 still it can cause that problem.. you also need to drop your dwell and possibly the lpr pressure

Look inside the breech and see if the bolt is at all in the breech. If so, turn the valve assembly out until the bolt is where it is supposed to be. I had this problem.

Also, you might want to up the eye delay to 2 or 3.
