Question maintaing a D.A.R.T kit

so i know there are plenty of stock instructions on how to properly lube and maintain a dart kit. but i was wondering if anyone had any special personal preferences on what works best for them. just testing the waters to see what people think. thanks

Like with any bolt for the EGO I would recommend to NOT lubing it. Lubing or greasing the bolt will cause sand/dirt to stick to it, which after repeated shooting, will cause the wear look that people complain about.

Other than that nothing special compared to the original valve kit. Nothing needs to be done to the valve, just OIL the rammer after every day of play, and GREASE the LPR and HPR every 5-8 days of play.

Break it in with 8-10 cases... adjust SFR to your preference, maintain LPR and HPR every few practices/outings with grease, and oil rammer after every day.

I finally have my DART broken in... now I get to have some fun tinkering with it myself

If you are to lube the DART bolt, just give it a little shine. A very very slight coat and a very light shine to it

Clean it (As often as you can) Oil the O-rings with just enough to make them look wet and no more.

i'm a little confused about the post talking about "breaking in" a DART kit. It's a bolt and a valve i don't see how anything can be broken in. Please explain.

People love to mess with **** that ant broke. Leave it alone and shoot it. Clean it when it needs to be, replace the batteries with quality ones when they get low and it will always work 100% of the time.

People just say that in the sense of making a new item used. New items tend to have a "break in period" when they will work more consistently after being used. But eh, the kit will do it's job at the end of the day. All that matters.

Not really much to be honest.

The bolt could shed some excess material at the microscopic level and wear in, to glide smoother, but IMO there's no way to really break it in.

Just a sensation.
