To say it's irregularly warm for December right now in NC is an understatement. It's a good 40* warmer than usual on average so far this month. That being said, I'd bet every dime to my name that it will get bitter cold in no time; such is the way NC weather works--mood swings.

It is smaller than 150x120?

Won't know PBC Rock Hill availabilities until early next year. CFOA still has to decide on their dates. We could wait and host second tournament or just wait to plan the first later.

Does anyone have objections to an event in mid/late February? Such as the weekend of the tenth or twenty-third? The owner of Asylum is very interested in having an NCPA event there and it's indoors as well, but if it's somehow warm it could be outdoor. I'm hoping that perhaps it being in late February/early March guys can coordinate enough to get up here...I'm hoping. I really want to get something concrete on the schedule. I'm fine with filling my house full of ballers for the weekend to save cash.

Could we play on a 150x120 field? If everybody is worried about playing in the cold, why don't we play a little deeper south. We had temperatures get into the low 50's most of February last year down in Georgia. We could move further up north for the March event and not have to sacrifice a regulation field for keeping warm.

What field are you suggesting?
Whatever we do, let's get the ball rolling on planning guys. Time is short.

I spoke with German, the owner of XK, and he is in the process of getting his field up to regulation size (it probably wont be done in time for the third MSCC event though).
What about another field in NC? Maybe black ops, pbc, etc?

I've thought about Black Ops, but NC isn't known for being exceptionally warm in the winter. It's very erratic. And, depending on the date of the tournament, we have to consider the Black Ops fundraiser that is happening soon.
Regardless, it would behoove everyone to come to a consensus very soon, and go ahead and get it set in stone.

Whatever happened to having an event at Nitro with Clemson hosting? That seemed to be the only thing that had any chance of being concrete and able to happen. Having in in mid-March or something?

IMO, mid march would be nice for the event #4. What about having the #3 event at Nitro in mid-february. At least then, it won't be as cold as VA, NC, etc..

CFOA posted their dates so maybe we could get one going there? 8 Hours from ECU was pretty far.

I highly suggest against this.
We have done this in the past with Class A with HORRIBLE results.
Matches had to be postponed to another event, due to bad scheduling.
Refs were drinking on the field and had NO CLUE about college rules.
