Can I take JUST the barrel in my airplane carry on luggage?

Does anyone know if I can bring just my barrel onto a plane in my carry on luggage? I've looked at the TSA website but it doesn't address the barrel specifically. Has anyone fried? TIA for the help

Why would you want to take it with you?

I would think no.

After all it could be used as a weapon. Just like lotion

You could attack someone with it. If I were you I would not take the chance. I would leave it in my bag not my take of. Besides this Imagine what this looks like in the metal detector..

Yeah. I'd stay away from trying to bring it on a plane. There might not be any rule per se, but it will not go over well and its easier to avoid those situations.

Hey, call your carrier and find out. Good Luck because the person you talk to may not know EVERYTHING but it should be published on their website. When I went to Hawaii, all my gear had to go UPS ground with special labeling. That included my air tanks which was the big issue. Empty or not, they would not fly it.
