Yea I found it. And I found another part to my diagnosis. It only honks when the gun is pointed up or down and I air it up. If I air it up while pointing it forward it airs up with no honk.

I think my problem is my inner can o-rings are TOO loose. They seal up, no leaks. But when I do the gravity test with the bolt sliding down just by gravity, it FALLS through rather than slide. Thoughts?

well, if it doesn't leak, and it is nice and loose... sounds like max efficiency.. I don't know about consistency though

Too loose could cause leaks during cycling even if the bolt seals fine when idle.

I've been hand fitting my o-rings now and finding the best ones, but even when i do, I still can get the bolt to slide down in the can with gravity. Am I supposed to do that test with the o-ring on the bolt as well?

Oh, and I have an eigen bolt

Yes. The bolt sail should be tight on the bolt so it slides loosely inside the bolt sleeve.

And even if theyre a little snug its ok if you can get the bolt to slide through with the flick of a wrist your fine.

Hey Jim, I was having shoot down problems earlier and looked into it on zdspb and I found that my inserts were too deep into my shocks, so I threaded em in the correct distance. Now it shoots amazingly, MUCH better than before. Could the inserts being threaded too deep into the body have also been responsible for my efficiency being low?

Yes it could hurt I supose never realy tested around that I always have my inserts set right but most of the time the ones with misaligned inserts that I've fixed were having shooting problems so efficiency wasn't on the list of things to check.

If the inserts were too far forwards, the o-rings could have been partially obstructing the air transfer holes. If the holes to the solenoid were not getting enough air, then it could have been causing lots of solenoid lag, which could account for the bad efficiency.

My bolt seems to cycle ok with air but as soon as I use paint it shoots 1 ball then the rest just falls out of the barrel. If I put my finger on the guide hole it will shoot further but still my pressure is at 200 psi with a dwell of 12
