I just told a female E-3 today who is 28 to have a seat, just because YOU couldn't make it in the outside corporate world doesn't mean you can join the military and tr to run ****. Know your place in line and do your job.
Can't stand those 28+ year old ****ers who join and think they know everything...
EDIT: err, yesterday...forgot today would be saturday.

We would also have accepted
"I am a ******* and partied my eyes out in college so now its time to pay the piper..." (personal experience on that one... cuts deep)

Could be worse... she could be an E-6 PSG, still thinks she knows everything, chock full of small town farmer living experience that she applies to everything in her life, wont shut up about politics at work, and is a complete and utter "yes man" to the higher ups because shes non-confrontational resulting in real work or job training never getting done unless of course that training is requisite for her to keep her job in the army then suddenly its the most important thing ever.

If you don't know how to tell people why you're doing what you're doing...do you actually know why you are?

such a dumb thing
I was bored, thats why I joined. **** all the patriotic, serving your country, greater cause bull****, only ******s believe in that stuff.
Depending on your MOS choice which I dont know if you mentioned or not you are probably making a big mistake though. In that case tell people you are joining the army because your dumb.

Lol. Man...I wasn't saying it had to be a specific reason like that. You should know how to tell people around you why you're doing what you're doing. That's all I was going about saying.
I'm pretty sure I said I enlisted 11x above. Everybody has their own reasons to do what they're doing.

I've given out orders that result in people gettin' some. Does that count?

I joined to kill people, 3 days after hitting the fleet I was in country (Kuwait), around or about 30 days later I was pushing into Iraq and in about 20 minutes was shooting at my first armed enemy. I did that for 30 days roughly non stop during the push. Then went to Najaf and chilled out doing patrols.
Sucks to be you, boot.

I joined for the experience and challenge. I had more action in one week [this was because I searched for it in the MWR events] than the entire 2 years I've been a civilian. I think this is because I get paid way less now. Sometimes I just want to be put in a crazy different situation to test my mind. I don't get much opportunities to do that as a civilian.

Eh, there is a risk when giving that order if it backfires, so I guess so. I never had the chance to kill anyone since I was the RTO. But my Platoon hit a bunch of IEDs. Does that count?

Directly responsible for killing people and I've authorized multiple strikes on grape huts/buildings/etc. My only regret is that we didn't kill more.
Fun stuff.
