Just got a trracer today(used) and the safety slides back and forth when I tilt the gun, is it possible to remove it so it doesnt become a nuasance? I figure the gun not being pumped+a barrel bag is pretty good safety out of game and it will turn on the safety if i aim down slighly.

If it moves freely on its own you probably lost the ball and spring that are supposed to hold it in position. You can either contact Boss Paintball for new ones or just take the grips off and remove it. I bought a basket case Trracer used and it didn't have one so I'm not bothering to replace it either, single action markers don't really need a safety, though it is a nice extra bit of security.

So just remove the ball and spring behind the grip frame and the safety is gone?

Well if it's sliding around on it's own like you said they're already gone. The tab itself is the safety, there's a post on the underside of it that sticks into the frame. The ball and spring just keep it locked in "safe" or "fire" position. Just take off the grips and lift the safety tab out.

It had the ball but not the spring, removed the plastic tab, all good.

LOL true, but theres still a chance it might shoot...

But, technically only a barrel bag is fine because almost all speedball markers don't have safety's either...

Its your choice though I personally think you might want to keep it on though to be safe. Ask the field owners you play at and see what they can do for you.
