It was a long process.
I removed the "Spire" logos both sides and used spray adhesive to reattach after painting.
Painting:
1)All light coats all. For grey and red ( I separated the the spire into trim piece and 2 halves ).
2)Both colors:2coats black primer I have games workshop primer that is very thin and was made for plastic.
3)For the Red 2 coats of Holiday Red Krylon
4)For the Silver 2 coats of Gun Metal Krylon and 1 coat sprits of Hammered Silver Rust Oleum
5)For the Virtue "V" I hand painted that with hobby paints I have
6)Finally, I added 10 gloss clear coats.
I took a couple of hits to the hopper this weekend with no problems not even a smudge. Only time will time how well it holds up, but I have done several masks with the same technique for myself and others. They have held up so hopefully this will too.
on the spire paint job. Looks great.
