Eye Malfunction?

Hello Nation I came into a problem on both of my axes today. When I shoot with the eyes on it shoots considerably slower than with the eyes off. I have reset the boards and everything and it is still doing it. So I looked in the manual and it said there was an eye malfunction? Don't know what that means but how do I fix it?

When the eyes are dirty, the board limits you to 8bps until they're cleaned

You have to remove the transfer plate and clean the eyes. take a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol to clean the leads that connect the eyes to the board, sometimes they can get corroded.

Thank you!!! How often do the eyes get that dirty?? That would suck if it happened during a game...

I try to clean them once every 5 times I play, more often if i've been getting breach breaks (though that barely ever happens).

Even though the breach may be clean, paint can work its way up the holes and onto the eyes and board. If left for too long, the leads will corrode completely and you'll have to get a new board.

I love my axe but yeah what a bad idea to have holes directly underneath the ball. Scares the hell out of me if I'm playing in the rain obviously cant be helped sometimes but it does make its way into the breach then down them holes =/.

When you take it off be mega careful with the micro switch would not take much to bend or snap it off completely. Tempted to lacquer around the eyes on the circuit board just to protect them better.

if you are just sticking your finger in the breech to block the eyes its going to assume the eyes are dirty. the eyes must see eachother between each shot to work properly.
