Did anyone have as many bull**** penalty calls as we did? We got hit with like 7 penalties, all but one was because of the refs calling out for old hits and rubs and claiming it as play on. Not to mention, every time I asked the head ref what the penalty was for, he either wouldn't tell me or was a smart ***. This was on field two by the way. Other than the bull**** ref calls it was over all a good day.

I also would suggest enforcing a rule as the millinium series does, where once a player has been eliminated, they must hold one hand on their head until back in the pit. This eliminates all confusion who is out. its not hard at all for players to do.

lol I have a good story about that ref. he watched a guy get hit in the d-side tower, kinda pointed and yelled "hey he's hit" looked around and realized the other refs didnt see it, yells again (still sitting down) and finally stands up and runs to the player and gets him out, by this time the player had shot out an opposing player on dside, and still no penalty was assessed!

Timing is everything in paintball. Split seconds define how things play out. Thats why you need a fulltime reffing crew(with walkie talkies) who are completely on the ball.

to clarify that zemmi I can assure you the "home team" had no affiliation with the refs at all. The fact is, players caught on to the fact that the reffing was a bit lax and started to wipe hits and cheat whenever possible. This happens everywhere. The winning d4 team on saturday was from Indiana..and the winning team on Sunday was mostly from Louisville, but the refs on Sunday were not.

This was the biggest problem I saw when watching from the sideline. It was painfully obvious.

Fields were awesome. I love playing at Asylum. Asylum staff was friendly and there seemed to be plenty of room for everyone when the rain came down on Saturday.

Burgers hit the spot and ice cold Gatorade was nice to have on hand

Field 2 reff's were inexperienced to say the least.
Most reff's on field 1 were good on Sat but there were a couple that had no business reffing

On an even more serious note,
I don't agree with keeping the point going on field 1 when the T-storm hit us. I watched lightning strike down on 3 different sides of field one during that point. Its just not worth the risk. I don't think it effected the point but lets face it 10 people running around with Metal PB guns in their hands while lightning strikes way to close for comfort isn't the best idea. I saw the strike hit to my left and thought "O ****", a min or 2 later I see another touch down dead ahead and I looked at the head reff for a reaction and still we played on, then one struck down a little ways off to the left and I thought to myself are you kidding me?

I know they were just trying to finish the point but lest we forget...."Safety First"

I enjoyed playing the series this year without a doubt but as far as next year goes I guess I will have to wait and see what changes are implemented between now and next season.
I do not doubt that Tapper did the best with the cards he was dealt concerning reffing and from what I heard from the APPA guy, PSP will be helping out along those lines next year if everything goes according to plan.

I agree that we should have got off the field after the first lightning strike that point. I think we played in the heaviest rain out of everyone that point.
