The back is male threaded on both ends so the length of the back is the length of the control bore.

I don't entirely agree with this. Yes, it's Male/Male but that doesn't mean the control bore is the entire length of the back, could be stepped within the back. I don't think Shaft4's control bore is the full 8".

I'll get lapco to fix the ad, there is no step in the control bore. I helped design this barrel.

This kit looks awesome, but seriously, the smallest size is .680? Do you think they'll release smaller bores later on?

I always amazed at the paint differences by region. In NY/NJ the paint is about .687 - .689.
