We just added another to our family. We help a local rescue by doing foster care for them. We were recently given 2 kittens, one boy, one girl, about 5-6 weeks old, to take care of until they were old/weighed enough to get fixed and then adopted. The boy grew a little faster than the girl, so he got fixed about 2 weeks before she did, so he went up for adoption before she did. The day he went up for adoption, he was adopted. When he was adopted we had talked to his new family about his sister, which wasn't quite ready for adoption. They were very interested and said they would more than likely want her too, which was great because they were so good together. Unfortunately, once she was ready, her brother's adoptive family decided 1 cat was enough and they didn't want her. In the meantime she had become very depressed, wasn't eating, wasn't playing, and was losing weight. We had to really push her to eat and after a couple of weeks, we got her over the hump and she started doing better. During that time she attached herself to one of our cats. The time was coming to put her up for adoption and after a very short discussion we decided we would just adopt her. Since she already formed a bond with another cat, knowing how bad she did after her brother left, we just couldn't put her though that again, and we really didn't really think she could handle it.
Now the important part, here is Izzie:

He is actually a Cornish Rex that has been breaded to have the markings of a Siamese, technically he is a Chocolate Pointed Cornish Rex.

****, I hate how my landlord doesn't allow pets. This thread makes me want to get another cat so bad. As soon as I get a place of my own I'm getting a cat asap.

Lol. My roommates cats are adorable. I take pictures of them all the time. I'll upload some, one's name is Molly and she is the sweetest little thing and her brother's name is Cory who loves to eat. he is obsessed with food, and his weight is always a talking point in the house. Some times he looks like a roasted chicken. Then there'es Verde the 12 year old Lassa Apso who is vicious to everybody. I take him on his daily walks so he worships me.
