New DM12 shooting question
My brand new DM12 I got today smokes or makes vapor when I shoot it. Is there a way to stop this. I shot it for the first time today and noticed it doing it. Is this normal for the dm12 or is something wrong with it. It shoots great, just smokes after each shot. It gets better after the 4-5th shot. I cleaned excess lube off bolt and set it to psp. That's all I have done. I'm not sure if weather plays a part with this or not. It's humid and rather warm here in GA.

59 degrees. So I would say no, not cold. It's kinda humid though. |

I wonder if some of the extra lube in the breech from the factory could cause this. It quits after about 4-5 shots. Then I stop shooting and it does it again for 4-5 more shots and stops again. Just puffs from end of barrel.

thats cold for hpa, your just seeing excess air escaping around the ball as it exits the barrel

temp and humidity make that better or worse.. all mine do that when its below 60 usually

Not trying to jack this thread but I'm having a problem with my DM also. I chrono my gun to 280 fps but when I fire after a few seconds of flight the balls fall to the ground. What gives? I tried shooting straight up in the air as well and the balls just fall right back down. Whats Dye's return policy? I'm contacting the better business bureau.

The law of gravity seems to be your problem.... what goes up, must come down..... Better business bureau prob won't help you much with that. Probably be better off calling dye. Are your orings lubed properly, have you messed with any settings.

completely normal and its humidity usually. some times cold will do it. Im not sure underbuying will actually fix the problem. Ive run 684s forever and it still happens regularly to all of my guns.
you can watch vids from Pomona 05 wheres its 75 and crazy humid.
