Yes, people have. And they have been very successful.
Steps to do it:
1- screw ul front onto ul back.
2- screw complete ul into ego.
3- play some paintwarz

I haven't seen a tray less UL Ego, though I'm guessing it could be done with barbs and a MAC 33.

could probably be done in a way similar to the UL Shocker. Every Ego 07 and up has the frame with a contoured top. That would make things a little more challenging, especially if you want it to look correct.

CS900 Put an ultralite frame on a shocker. He could probably do it to an Ego, for the right price. He would be one of the best people to ask, and one of the most capable people to perform the modification cleanly.
Ego 05/06 would probably be the easiest to convert, especially if you use a tray and different solenoid.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to use an 05/06 Ego cause they were flat where the Frame and Body meet

Hmm I think it would look pretty awesome on a 05 ego. I have a red body right now with some other parts. Which UL frame would work and would it need a tray? Any other idea on what to do with the body?

none would work, youll need to modify one.
the PMR frame, Pm5 frame and dm4/5/c UL frames all have flat tops.
you still need to do some heavy modding.

would definitely want to go with the PMR UL frame due to the extra space without needing a tray.
