I doubt it is. it's probably Dow 33 not 55. I think pretty much all paintball greases are a copy of Dow 33

TechT gunsav is not Dow55, it has never seemed even close to me. It is some sort of silicon grease but definitely not Dow55. I would advise against it unless you were really in a pinch.

I'll agree with the others. Stick with Dow 55. As posted above, there are plenty of places to buy it.

It's your gun, use whatever you want, that being said, I highly suggest that you use what the manufacturer lists as the only lube to use dow55 =D

If he uses whatever he wants then he will have problems, so I don't think it's really something we should tell him XD

The markers are designed with the o-ring swelling properties of Dow 55 factored in. Other markers are frequently designed for the use of Dow 33, a bearing lube.
On my workbench I have ~ 6 different types of lube and 4 types of oils. Even a couple of lubes that go on wet and dry to a waxy Teflon film. Lubes with Teflon, Lubes with ceramic particles, lubes that stink and lubes that smell like fruit.
Even with that broad assortment, if I am working on a Bob Long marker I grab the Dow 55 and some oil for the bolt. Disassemble, clean, lube, reassemble, set the pressures and go play.
