I'm always interested in this camera. If they can keep it the same size, offer a swappable battery, and wi-fi (Might have to do that through a card), then this would be almost perfect.

Right now the camera and the company owner of Replay, Jon Spar, designed the camera originally for racers. You will see on their home website that they have A LOT of attachments. Because of the micro size of the camera they have external batty packs.
Greg got involved and patented several paintball mounting brackets and is working on non paintball related brackets. To my knowledge we are the largest reseller of their camera outside of racing.
We also know one of one of the R7 Athletes who puts the extra battery inside his tank cover. The battery should get you 2 hours of record time. I have found having the car outlet charging capability my best option at the field.

Been trying to get in contact with R7 USA for weeks now trying to get a PE colar for my R7. I bought one of the original R7s before the release of the PE colar. And I heard they were helping original R7 owners like myself with PE colars. However, I have been unable to get a response from anyone at R7 USA

We sent out a mass email in July to all the customers who purchased a camera through the R7 Website through CONSTANT CONTACT. We only had a certain number of rings available. I actually worked with Greg directly and a local machinist to design the first run, based upon Greg's ideas for the patented bracket system. From that initial email, we sold a large number of PE Bracket RING ONLY - however as of about Sept 1, they have only been selling them as complete bracket sets.
Only with special exception with the "bosses" let me deviate from that plan.

That is correct. It is an external battery pack, SMALLER than the R7 REPLAY 1080XD Camera - maybe the roundness of your thumb, or like a Highlighter Marker. Pretty neat item.

So altogether, you are looking at three hours of constant recording time?
I just looked at the site, very cool. At $60, that isn't too bad. And the other one, which is about twice the size is only $100. It seems that Replay has actually listened to the people, to make one the best camera's even better.
LOL, so about that wi-fi thing...

Yes. One of the things Greg was looking into this year was actually connecting the cameras via WiFi. The issue is there is a decent amount of extra hardware needed. Not all of it is inexpensive or streamline. The hope was to attach the camera to gliders, hovercopters as well as players and have a live feed back.
I could see the technology take things like the PSP's PBA programming to a whole new level with on gun live feed in the PSP.

Yeah, with the size, and weight, using some kind of a hovercopter would be really cool. Especially at the big games, and even if you used one at a PSP or NPPL event, flying around 100 feet up, that would be really cool.

I agree. Also I don't know if you have seen the one remote control glider Gary Baum has for some of his aerial footage. That would also be pretty awesome.

Awesome cameras! We love them!
Hey guys we have a tournament series in Houston, TX and I am putting a couple of these on our refs goggles to get some footage.
We made a goggle mount for your Empire E-Flex or Events that is incredibly sturdy and easy to do.
Here is the How-To- http://paintballgunmanuals.com/r7-re...ll-mask-mount/
Hope you enjoy!

Hoping on getting one of these soon. Pretty expensive but if it's as good as they say I'm sure it'll be worth it.
