Is it safe to fill from a 4500 scba tank through one of the fill hoses that I have seen when your tank is a 48/300? Do you only fill until your guage on your pb tank reads about 3000? I have only been able to find a few regulated output fill stations and they are $4-500. Just wondering how people did it and what they used to make sure they are safe if thier fill tank is higher pressure than the pb tank. Also, if you fill in a situation, what do you use? Please include links and pictures with an approximate price.

Tecnically, it's not safe. Since it's hard to control what your tank fills too when you use an scba since it tends to fill quite fast. I'm not sure about the hose either. I wouldn't try it.

Yo its fine. It stops pressurizing once u turn the air off. Just stop at 3000
