I was on spring break the past 2 years for texas and im a college student. It was nice, i was under the impression most people had spring break this week.

I would ****ing love to see what you could do with that situation. They did a hell of a job even getting the 3 fields ready to play.

Just an fyi, I was at the LA tourney at the soccer field a few years back. It was a ghost town. Everyone touted how much bigger the paintball scene is in Cali, but yet that tourney didnt draw anything. You need the spectators also to draw an event for it to be good for the vendors. If they pick higher profile or more expensive venues. You have to realize those cost will be passed onto you thru entry fees.

Hopefully they decide to hold PSP MAO at OXCC again. I don't think it will be at Top Gun though, because the whole reason PSP switched venues is because Top Gun does not own the land they have, they rent if off of somebody, and they were in the middle of a land dispute, so PSP was forced to switch. I know a few of their concerns for OXCC were that it is not a big facility to begin with though, and it didn't draw in too many spectators compared to the other PSP venues. I liked how they had the fields side by side instead of back to back so that when you heard the buzzer go off on the field behind you, you didn't get confused and think it was for your game haha.

I loved the MAO venue, I just wish it was around more stuff, at least the other venues are near decent sized citys with some **** to do after paintball is all over. I remember rolling up to OXCC and being like...where the **** is the event at? and you walked through that small patch of trees and bam it was some paintball! Some Narnia **** hahaha.

Hopefully not during spring break or any major holiday. It usually jacks up the price per room in hotels and makes traveling that much more expensive.

I know right? lol. There is some stuff to do on the other side of town though. And if you were to book a hotel near University of Delaware (where I go to College), which is about roughly a half hour out from the field, lot of stuff to do there haha

We were like 15min from UofD and seriously contemplated checking out the social scene over there...might have to next year. We'll keep in touch

My suggestion is even out the locations. If there are 5 events, put 2 on west coast, 1 central, and 2 East. Makes it easier for teams to compete and travel. Coming from West Coast, Chicago, MAO and Cup broke my bank. Move Chicago to California!!

As long as the locations are near major airline hubs (like ATL, CHI, etc.) it helps reduce cost significantly for airline tix.

I've got a better source who says your source isn't as informed as you think they are.
