It will certainly be interesting. Redskins have the easiest game next week, as they play the Eagles; the Cowboys go up against a Saints team that just raped the Bucs, and the Giants have the Ravens, although they have been backpedaling as of late.
If both of those teams lose next week, then Dallas needs to win against Washington and the Giants to lose to the Eagles to make it in.
If the Giants lose next week, they are out of the playoffs (unless Seattle loses their next two games and Chicago loses one of their next two) even if both Washington and Dallas lose, and the winner of the Dallas-Washington game wins the division.
If all three teams win next week, then the winner of the Dallas-Washington game wins the division.
If all three teams lose next week, then the winner of the Dallas-Washington game wins the division.
The only way New York wins the division is if they win both of their next two games, and Dallas and Washington both lose next week.
The division can send three teams to the playoffs if all three win next week, the Giants beat the Eagles, and Washington and Dallas tie, and the Seahawks and Bears lose both of their next two games.
I'm having a lot of fun with the ESPN playoff machine.

I really hope the Bears lose the next two in case we drop 1. I think that would put us ahead of them in the wildcard.

And I'm hoping the Bears win out. If they win just one game I think it's very unlikely they will make the playoffs.
And I'll say this; if they lose to Arizona I have very little faith in them beating Detroit. So if Chicago does drop that game to the Cardinals, you can probably go ahead and start making plans to watch Dallas and Green Bay in the first round.

Despite the fact that he came back stronger than anyone in history has returned from ACL (and MCL) surgery, it is clear AP wasn't AP right away.
Can you imagine if he kept his pace from the last 8 games all season? He'd crush Dickerson's record, and probably set an unbreakably high one in place of it.
edit: Yeah, his average over those games would have put him at just over 2600 yards. Holy crap.

Yeah, I don't get why people say they feel bad for him. He could have left, but he decided that being the highest paid WR ever was more important than being part of a contender. I don't blame him for taking it, but I'm not going to feel sorry for him either. He made his choice.

No one would trade for him, no one wants that's contract. He's ridiculously overpaid.

right? duh. I'm sure Dickerson strung a few 200 yard games together on his way to the record, so you could say the same thing about him.

Well...yeah. I obviously understand this. I was just saying that for the sake of saying it. Had he fully trusted his knee and everything at the beginning of the season though it isn't crazy to think he would have gone over 100 yards more than once in his first 6 games.

Look at how he ran at the beginning of the year vs how is has been running lately. It is clear he wasn't quite the same at first. I don't disagree with this post but AP didn't run like AP until the niners game basically.
And I absolutely think he would come back before his knee was fully healed. The whole summer he was trying to do things that doctors, trainers, and everyone else was telling him he shouldn't do for a while. As much as I love the guy, he is absolutely the type of person who would end his own career by coming back from an injury too early. He's just the ultimate competitor and wants to be on the field all the time.

So Percy was rumored to be having ankle surgery over the weekend. Turns out it is an emergency appendectomy. I doubt that was the reason he went on IR, but it certainly sucks.
I am a little unfairly pissed at Percy though. I constantly get the impression that he doesn't like playing here but I keep forgetting that he is still on his rookie contract and he is not getting paid like he should.

is he a free agent this year? because welker is a free agent too, and it does not seem like the pats are excited to resign him. maybe we get percy to replace him? he will feel right at home playing with Hernandez, Cunningham, Demps, and Spikes.

He has a year left. I don't think you guys could afford him though, someone will have to wheel a dumptruck full of cash to his driveway after next year

really? he doesn't seem like a dump truck full of cash type of player. he's good, but he's a number 2 WR at best.
