2013 Demon Leak
I just got my demon back from vanguard after having the 2013 internals installed. When I air it up, its fine, but if I fire a few quick shots, I get a small leak coming from what sounds like inside the grip area, and the more I shoot it, the more it leaks. If i degas it and then air it up, the leak is gone, but returns when I fire it. Any ideas?

Didn't need to take your frame off to do the shuttle o-rings...

No, but it thought it might have been the transfer pipe. I took the gun down and checked everything. I never actually found out what the problem was, but it's not leaking anymore

Curious what lube is being used? Hoping vaseline will prevent this problem.

It doesn't from what I can tell. We're looking into this issue.

I used dow 33. When I got the gun back from Vanguard, it had entirely too much grease on it, in my opinion (I'm not the expert, but in my experience, it was way too heavy). I've always felt like caking the grease on just invites stuff to stick to the bolt (gunk, debris, stuff that can cause a leak). I cleaned the entire bolt, transfer pipe (this was bone dry, strangely enough) HPR...put it back together, everything was cool.
Are leaks from the shuttle a common problem with the 2013's?

If I have leaking issues in the bolt assembly ever, i just start using dow55 and it deals the orings much better.

I'm trying to figure out this issue. At this point, with a 2013, I'm not sure I'd put Dow 55 on those skinny 23x1s.

Vaseline is definitely too sticky for the 23x1 o-rings. At least during cold weather. Switched to monkey poo which I usually think is too thin and it worked great. I will definitely recommend a Dow 33 product on the shuttle over Dow 55 or any alternative.

Scott ALL companies do this when they ship guns to customers. Id rather have it overly caked then have no lube on it at all : /
