Ive got a 2012 Invasion w/ Virtue Board. Gun will only shoot 1 ball a second. When I roll the trigger (multiple pulls/sec) the gun will only fire on the first shot. If I pause and try again, only the first shot fires. Shooting slowly, gun averages 1 shot/sec. This is the same with eyes on and off.

What I've done to trouble shoot so far:
Good Air
Good Loader
Good Paint
Good Battery
Good Microswitch/trigger spacing
No paint on eyes, and good eye check

As far as I can tell, this is not a physical issue but a possible programming problem, I think. Is there a way to reset the settings back to Default?

Any suggestions?

If you set the board back to default then the dwell will be very low - so up the dwell to 12 and then try it.
Because when you wait it will shoot... that is usually battery. Buy a new high quality alkaline battery.
Rayco - new out of the box do not work well! Regular battery - for like a smoke detector - won't work

Do you know how to set the Virtue board back to default settings? I checked your site for the manual, but could only find the Hater (or some other model which did not match Virtue's light sequence) manual.

You'll probably have to find your board on the virture paintball site. I think they use marq boards if I'm not mistaken.

I agree with the battery power issue. Get some Duracell or energizer brand. Don't get anything else. Paintball guns use the high end of a 9 volt battery. Once you get down to 8 volts or so they're actually not any good for paintball guns. Most cheapo brands start around that level. The cheap ones rarely have a high enough current output either. So they may test fine on a voltage tester, but when you try to use them they die quick.

If it's not the battery then reset your board like Jack said and I think you'll be fine. It's probably just messed up as many people do before selling a gun lol.

Virtue and Tadao manuals can be found on their respective sites. Remember, this board was made for the marq and the stock dwell is going to be very low (6-8ms?) so like Jack said, make sure you increase the dwell to 12ms.

What color is your led (or if oled, does it say their is an eye fault?)

Best bet is to call virtue and see what they think.

LED is quick-blink red with nothing in the chamber, quick-blink blue with eyes engaged.

I've tried two new Energizers, same issue. Even pulled the 9v from my Droid, still a problem. Gonna look for default values.

yeah deff reset it to the default values and then bump the dwell up to 12ms. even with the dwell at 8ms, the gun should still spit paint very fast.


If default settings does not fix the issue, i think something might be wrong with the eyes, even though it still does this with eyes off.

Thanks for the advice. Playing the guessing game on blinking colors, I have figured Purple is firing mode. (Virtue does not have the Marq manual on their site). I can get to NXL Auto and the gun shoots like it should, but quickly turns to Full Auto. When I got back to other settings, back to 1 shot/sec.

HOW DO I RESET?! This will haunt me until it is fixed.

the manual on their site should be the "Redefined manual"

it wont be marq specific, your certain board however will be programmed for the marq by default aka lower dwell.

the manual on my phone goes like this

fire mode purpler
debounce green
ramp activation blue
ramp % white
ramp shot count flickering teal
dwell red
eye delay teal
mech bounce yellow
abs flickering green
max rof flickering red
10th bps max rate of fire flickering blue

That is the manual for the fusion7/8, marq, vice etc etc

so your colors should go like that in that order.

to reset to default settings, go into programming mode and hold the trigger down for 10 seconds until the led turns white. once the led turns white, the led will then flash through the rainbow of colors indicating that all setting have been returned to the factory default.

Now if I just knew what the reset did... rather undid... because when someone calls with a new problem it's great to get it fixed, but better to understand what was fixed.

sometimes electronics do funny things. my teammates brand new spire was spinning like crazy. reset, and now its working just like mine.

My guess is that the eye delay or some other fancy eye setting was messed up or the board thought it had an eye fault.

I never mess with bounce or eye settings unless i need to (rarely). Set the dwell, rof and fire mode. done.
