Thanks
I know some people hate FR's, but I find it fun to play around with, and it stays in tune great. I put a new set of electric Elixer strings on it tonight (have found that I REALLY like the Elixers for electric) and stretched them a bit, locked down the nut, went and played for an hour and it stayed in tune perfectly. from me.

Guitar also has coil tapping/splitting whatever you wanna call it.
Basically my dream Les Paul.

I've heard decent stuff about the Agile guitars.

*EDIT* These two are pretty awesome too, if you're not feeling the neck-thru vibe.

IIRC those Agiles have thicker/fatter necks than Gibson LPs.

I have no experience with Agile LPs, but I can attest to their quality of work. I absolutely love my Intrepid 727. The tone and feel is absolutely perfect for me, and it's a neck-thru (Pro model), which is nice. If I decide to get another ERG, which I probably will, Agile is the first stop I'll make.

I'd definitely give them a try.

I've almost bought one twice now, and the only reason I haven't is because some ********** will buy the one I want first.

Also, we're 40 posts away from a new thread.

**** **** **** ****.

Left my OD pedal on, battery died, I find a random 9v power adapter, doesn't say the polarity, should have left it alone but I didn't...

Now something inside smells burnt and there is a weird whistling sound when it's turned on.

Haven't opened it yet, but any idea to what I ****ed up inside

PROGRAM SOME DRUMS

I do like what you have going on, but the two parts are too polar. Mix them more tastefully. And separate the tonalities a bit more.

The two parts you have at about 1:00 are mixed improperly. Funny enough, the lead needs to be dragged back. I would say, if you have the time, get two tracks (same riffs, same tone, different recordings) for the backing track. Mix them 90% left and 90% right. Then take your lead part and center it completely. It's going to add a LOT of depth to that and make it a lot more badass sounding.

Overall, it sounds bad ****ing ***, dude. I like it a lot. Unfortunately, a LOT of the overall presentation is done from mixing and mastering. If you have Skype or something, we should get together and I'll share some plugins and/or ideas with ya. I love it though. Awesome ****.

---

Completely apart from anything here... I've become a huge Norah Jones fan.

I'd be down for doing some things over skype.
I wish I knew how to program metal drums! I need some time to work on it. The mixing isn't right either, I'm not the best at mixing. I plan on doing a full re-recording and my one friend who went to SAE plans on doing the mixing and mastering of it.

I'm looking to get my first guitar, less than $200. Basically it's come down to these 2 below:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier-A...76-i2613561.gc

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone...11-i2694900.gc

I heard them both and I slightly prefer the epiphone. However, as far as the amps included, it seems that fender amp is better than the one that comes with the epiphone. I've only heard the fender amp so I can't say for sure, but the guy in the store said I was probably right about this. I can't get the epiphone guitar by itself and the fender amp separate because then it will be more expensive and won't come with the other items included. What should I do?

I'd go with the Epiphone over the Squier. Never really liked any Squire stuff.

Even though the amp that comes with it is lower quality? That's really what it comes down to for me so this is a tough decision.

Don't buy any cheaper guitar with a tremolo/whammy bar system, you're just begging for tuning problems. Epiphone and Squire both have their own tiers ranging from high to low, and the guitars in their packs are always on the low end. I would buy a used guitar of higher quality and a decent used amp.

You can get a Schecter C1+ for ~$200 even at guitar center, and they're really great guitars. Heads and tails above what you're looking at now, that puts you around $350 for a guitar and amp, and those two things are really the only necessary pieces of gear.

Yeah I'd just pick up a Mico Cube and a cheap Schecter. Those starter packs are more trouble than they're worth, and really only suitable for 10 year olds.
