I'm going to try the X360 controller too, I flew the helo's in BC2 with it so I'll give it a shot. I actually don't mind mouse and keyboard for the Helicopter.... but I have spent entirely too much time in older battlefields flying planes with a Joystick, I'm not going to be able to adjust to a mouse and keyboard for that one.
As far as the new maps/modes, scavenger is ok IMHO, not anything to celebrate over. The new maps are pretty awesome though, rush and conquest play well on them.

Same with me, UPS tracks all the way to the destination, and if there were any issues, they were made right.
