NT11 getting hot...

Not a typo

After sustained fire, the body of my NT11 gets hot. I just got it today, re lubed the bolt and reg and reset the settings to stock. Is this normal?

Not hot to the point where I can't touch it, but abnormal for a paintball gun. I mean....I've never owned a gun that literally warmed up.

I'm using hater sauce btw.

That's nothing I ever noticed on either of my NTs, though it's kind of cold here year round so that probably played a part of it if it's the case that they 'heat' up.

I asked a player on a home team today he said his used to do it too.

It was cold today, but not Norway cold. And the gun was warmer than everyones. How does your nt act in the cold btw? Does it effect efficiency? Cause 1 pod ate up 600psi today on stock settings.

We have seen a couple of NT11s here in colorado that did a similar thing. They warmed up on a cold day. Using hater sauce as well, his efficiency was really bad and velocity was all over the place. We replaced the O-rings on the bolt assembly, and used pathogen super grease. The heat issue, efficiency, and velocity issues went away. Most of the O-rings saw signs of wear, so it was difficult to narrow down the O-ring(s) causing the issue(s). hope this helps.

try using some special lube i like to call the Strictly Paintball Gun lube( facebook.com/strictlypaintball). you will see a reduction in kick, increase in efficiency by at least 1 pod, and more consistency in velocity fluctuation ( we tested dye matric and NT markers to be around +-2 fps change per shot and in ropes). also helps with any bolt friction. put enough on that it looks lubed but not too much that it looks like a mess. a little goes a long way with this stuff. Also, make sure you arent pushing lube into any of the air holes on the bolt assembly.
