Looking at this thread, I had a question. If you took the ASA apart, can you adjust how long the asa pin that depresses the tank pin? At the moment the pin is too long and even in the off position it depresses the pin on my tank and airs up the gun.

I just wanted to add something to this discussion in case it helps. Great instructions by the way.
I had the same issue as everyone with my ASA leaking at the front when I screwed in the knob all the way. The ASA had a very specific sweet spot with a little adjustment one way or another would shut the air or cause it to leak. It was a pain playing with it and accidentally rubbing against the knob.
I followed the instructions but did not replace the o-ring. I just lubed it and tightened the brass ring and the pin. That did the trick. I could tell immediately that the ASA knob was a lot tighter when I reinstalled. So far, fixed the problem..

take your grips off and look for the screw in there, you should be able to tighten it down better...if it keeps loosening, try putting some loctite on that screw.

Mine definitely has a brass ring
I have a DM10 and just took apart my ASA this weekend. It was starting to leak through the nob again. Once I re-lubed and cleaned inside, fixed the issue. And there's definitely a brass ring in there for mine.

This happened to my friend's DM6, does anyone have a couple of 007 orings they want to send me (he doesn't have a spare oring kit)? Just in case I mess one up installing it... it was kind of a pain to remove, even with a dentist pick! It hasn't been lubed for a long time!! PM me, thanks!

I could be wrong, but I don't think this will work with the new style airports because of the side on/off correct?
